AC Cobra (REPLICA) (1970)

A magnificent example of the much sought after BRA 289 Cobra. This car has been owned by an engineer for the last 22 years and was extensively overhauled in1992. The engine was re-built with new pistons etc. and Piper 285 cam, gas flowed heads. It has a 4 barrel Holley 390 carb with vacuum secondary, Offenhauser manifold, estimated output is 230 bhp. Electronic ignition on P6 dizzy. The gearbox is a 4 speed MGB. The rear axle was professionally converted from an MGB to accomodate a Ford 3.0 Capri diff. giving a desirable ratio of 3.08 : 1. MG hubs have been retained all round. Serviced annually.

Finished in gleaming un-marked Embassy black with matching black hyde interior and black carpets. Securon harness belts. Original style flat dash with Smith's instruments. leather steering wheel. Heater. New Brasscraft windscreen just fitted and there is a hood and tonneau cover. Exhausts are underfloor. All brightwork is fitted including bumpers. 15" Shelby slot mag wheels with Pirelli P6000 tyres. ( and a spare wheel). Stainless steel fuel tank. Comprehensive history file with photo album of the build. This car has the added benefit of free road tax in UK or should be ideal for export as it has the original bill of sale from BRA dated 1982.
