EXTERIOR

Finished in original Tourmaline Green, (Code 269), the factory paintwork boasts an impeccable deep polished shine and uniform finish. The factory panels are beautifully preserved. A tiny scratch to the offside front bumper has been left untreated in order to uphold complete originality. All trims sections, mouldings and Sportline badges are perfect, and W124 experts will know to check the vulnerable side jacking points, of which all are perfect. The electro-hydraulic roof operation is seamless and the hood fabric remains pristine. Ever pioneering, Mercedes eliminated the traditional roll over bar in favour of automatic rollover protection which also double as electrically operated rear head restraints. Exceptionally low mileage and just two owners from new, this prime example is synonymous with exceptional Mercedes-Benz build quality and divine in every way.

INTERIOR
Luxury and opulence in abundance, features such as the automatic seat belt feeders hint towards the ‘over engineering’ of the Mercedes-Benz W124. The contoured seats trimmed in original Mushroom Leather, (Code 265), are ergonomically designed for optimum comfort with lateral support and seat-suspension designed to harmonise with the vehicle’s actual suspension. Commensurate with the incredible 15,155 miles covered, the upholstery with matching doors cards are as new and spotlessly clean and the pristine carpets have been protected from new by Mercedes tailored floor mats. All technological advancements and functions housed in the highest quality fascia operate seamlessly and factory stickers remain within the door apertures. An outstanding classic Mercedes-Benz interior, the epitome of Mercedes Benz craftsmanship.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the Mercedes six cylinder 24v unit of 3199cc displacement, the engine produces 220bhp at 5500rpm and 310Nm of torque at 3750rpm. A top speed of 144mph and 0-62 in 8.6 seconds is achieved in effortless near silence from this exceptionally smooth powertrain. The beautifully clean and original engine bay displays all the factory stickers and plates and is a contender for concours events. The four-speed automatic transmission operates exactly as the manufacturer intended with smooth changes and positive kick down. Sheer motoring indulgence.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The original diamond cut eight-hole alloy wheels are in beautiful order with only very light delamination and scratches visible, again left in the factory finish to uphold originality. Matching premium brand and correct Mercedes specification Michelin Energy 205/60 R15 tyres were fitted brand new in 2018. The boot area houses the fifth alloy spare wheel alongside the original toolkit, jack, warning triangle and Mercedes first aid kit. Dual-circuit servo braking system with vacuum booster and anti-lock assistance (ABS) offers excellent straight line stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new on 24th April 1996 by Mercedes-Benz main agents Rose & Young in Redhill, Surrey, this cherished UK example was first owned by Mr John Roberts to whom the original sales invoice is made out with a purchase price of £51,080! Mr Roberts kept the car for a remarkable 22 years before selling to friend and the second only keeper, Mr Andy Sargeant. Having covered just 15,155 miles with two keepers, this garaged and pampered example is without question one of the best in existence.

The history file consists of the original stamped service booklet with the most recent Service B carried out by Mercedes-Benz Croydon in June 2018 with just 19 miles covered since! A folder of supporting service invoices and previous MOT certificates compliments the history file along with three sets of keys plus master blade. Completing the history file is the Mercedes-Benz document wallet containing all handbooks and guides.
