BMW 3 Series (1987)
BMW E30 325i CONVERTIBLE
May I present my beautiful manual E30 convertible that is due to circumstances, regrettably for sale.
This car is in VGC for it’s 25 years on the road and is finished in one of the most desirable BMW colours of Zinnobar red.
It has covered a total mileage of 102500 with all the old MOT’s to verify.
This is a pre-facelift model which benefits from having the more desirable chrome bumpers and trim.
It is a rare UNMODIFIED AND UNMOLESTED example just as BMW intended it to be.
The car also benefits from having electric windows and mirrors, power assisted steering, anti lock brakes, alloy wheels, FM/AM CD player with I-pod connection, power-flow stainless steel exhaust and fully adjustable sports seats which have been recovered in black and cream leatherette.
Bodywork on the car is in great condition with only the inevitable odd stone chip and scratch which one would expect on a car of this age and mileage. During its last MOT the tester even commented on how good its underside is.
Electrically everything works as it should apart from the fuel gauge which very occasionally will not register. This I believe is down to a bad earth connection that is a common fault on these cars. A tap on the fuel gauge soon rectify’s this and has never been a concern for me.
The car has had a replacement manual hood in the past and it still looks brand new.
Since my ownership began in March 2010, I have carried out the following work to this car,
New
-Clutch
-Cambelt at 100,000 miles
-Battery
-Front and rear shock absorbers
-Front and rear roll bar links
-Front anti roll bar bushes and shackles
-Front brake pipes
-Rotor arm, distributor cap and coil
-Fuel filler pipe
-Cooling fan viscous coupling
-Propshaft coupling
-Both gearbox seals
-Hood stowage cover seals
-Air intake rubber boot
-Recovered interior
I have changed ALL oils and fluids in this car.
Tyres are virtually new with plenty of tread left on all corners.
I have a wallet full of old receipts and all old MOT’s. It also includes the original quality control certificate printed in German with the date 22/10/86 and the quality controllers name. Unfortunately there is little service history for the car as the service booklet is missing although any inspection will reveal a well serviced and cared for car.
Owners manual and Haynes manual also included in sale.
The car is taxed until 31st August 2012.
The car is MOT’d until 3rd March 2013
Reason for sale is birth of 2nd child and a house move all within the next month. For this reason I will have no garage space, little cash and even less time to devote to this fantastic car, so reluctantly she needs to go.
Viewings are most welcome, however tyre kickers are not!
Test drives are also welcome provided you are insured to drive this car!
If you have any further questions or require any further photographs please feel free to ask.
Price as stated is £2300 ovno.
If you fancy going topless this summer, then do so in a classic!
