Vauxhall Velox (1925)

Car "OE 229 - This car has all the correct matching numbers from its build date in 1925. These delightful cars with their super performance are getting very difficult to find. Quite the equal of a Bentley 4.5 Litre, but at half the price. (See VSCC Prescott 2011 results). The previous owner informs us that the first owners were the BARLOW family in Victoria in Australia and that the car was originally a WENSUM. The Barlows were the VAUXHALL distributors for Vauxhall in the 1920's. If you have a look at Nick Portway's fabulous book on the 30/98 on page 116 you will see a Barlow photo of a WENSUM with family and it is captioned "Few Wensums reached Australia. This example was used by the Barlow family Vauxhall agents for Victoria". We are under the impression this might be the same car.
