Skoda Studebaker Commander Big Six Model GB Roadster.

This car was comprehensively restored 20 years ago and was preiodically used in some of Australia's longer car rallies. Changed hand six years ago and was treated to a new repainted and a lot of detailling to make the car as sharp as a new pin. Full wet weather. Wire wheels. ****************************************Big 6cyl - 5.8 litre - 351ci - engine*************************** **********####1928 Studebaker Commander Roadster Model GB##### This model of Roadster is belived to be one of the same batch of cars that were produced for the endurance speed and distance run. Hence the wire wheels instead of the wooden spoke ones. Three cars were selected at random from the production line in South Bend and then driven to the speedway. The three Studebaker Commander's then set speed and distance records during a 25,000 mile endurance run, held at Atlantic City, New Jersey, in October of 1927. The car's averaged 65.31 mph over a 16-day test period, which included 200 pit stops for gas, oil, repairs and driver changes. #####Donated by the Studebaker Corporation.###### Contact us for more details.
