Exterior
This Renault really is in amazing condition; in 2004 it had some replacement wings and a professional glass out re-spray. The car has only been used as a weekend/show car since and always kept in a dry garage so is still looking 100%. The only blemish is a tiny blister of rust at the base of one of the rear arches.

Interior
The interior is a fun place to be, with red velour seats and matching red carpets and door cards all in perfect condition. Everything works as it should, even the original radio. There are a set of black rubber over mats to keep dirty feet off the red carpet.

Engine & Transmission
The car had a brand new replacement Renault factory engine in 1993 at 43,000 miles, so the new engine has only done 29,000 miles. The car has been serviced every year ensuring maximum maintenance and minimal engine wear. The engine has been checked over by our Renault specialist who confirmed it was running the correct amount of boost (7psi) and A/F ratio. The only problem we found was a slightly sticky accelerator push lever in the carb which we are having rectified.
It takes a little choke and a few turns of the key to get her started from cold but once warmed up the engine ticks over smoothly. The 5 speed manual gearbox works as it should with a smooth gear change and no nasty noises.

Wheel, Tyres and Brakes
There are no curb marks to the alloys but they are slightly discoloured so this might be something to consider in the future. All the tyres are above the legal limit with plenty of tread. The spare wheel is unused. The brakes have just been overhauled with replacement disks and pads on the front and rear.

History File
This little Renault has a complete and extensive service history starting from the original bill of sale where the car was sold for £6284.18 in 1982. The original Renault document folder is there with all the sales brochures and handbooks. There are over 100 separate receipts for MOT's, parts and service work ranging from an air filter to a replacement Renault engine. The car has only 2 owners on the V5 and is of course HPI clear.
