All the Carroll cars were supervised by Stratton Motors in Long Stratton Norfolk (Aston Martin Lagonda) who were responsible for transporting them for use by the owner. Frequently they were taken to the south of France for the summer season but this vehicle was never used outside of the UK.

It was purchased in September 1991 and transfer of registration was effected on 15th October 1991. The vehicle was MOT’d by Stratton Motor Company prior to delivery and the Test Certificate (attached) showed the mileage then to be 1728 Kilometres.

This was one of 4 Lamborghinis owned by Mr Carroll (4000, 5000S, this 5000QV 881/2 and an Anniversary). At time of purchase it was also adorned with “Knight Rider” brake lights, twin aerials, and small transfer crest of arms to the doors together with the gear-lever gaiter!

It was fitted with an Alpine stereo cassette which I have retained and is available but this was upgraded by me with an Alpine & CD juke box now mounted in the front space frame.

I principally used the vehicle to and from UK Racing Circuits where access and secure parking was available with our F3 race team Fortec Motorsport. The vehicle has never been used on any track days.

In 1998 the last owner having failed in the initial attempts to gain planning consent to modify the entrance to the moated and listed farmhouse which we had acquired, He then retired the vehicle to storage with Storacar. Despite repeated attempts to find compromise with the conservation authorities to enable me to get this vehicle to my property it is clear that this will never be resolved and I have therefore reluctantly decided to part with the car as my partner will not part with the house!

The vehicle was taxed after January 1998 and is therefore now subject to SORN declaration. These have been maintained annually and the next declaration falls due on 31/1/2009.

Vehicle currently on a registration plate retained by my partner A7 CMJ


We are currently getting the accounting records from storage and should be able to supply copies of the service invoices,

The original keys, spare wheel, manuals, service record book and copies of most MOT certificates are available.

Although the Countach has not been move since being in storage it is going through a major inspection & service which will cost thousands of pounds before we display it in our showroom with the collection in January 2009.
