Morris 1800/1800S (1974)
The chassis number indicates that the car was a pre-production build, perhaps one of the first cars off the production line. Very early on the car had a factory upgrade to HL trim spec (with additional HLS parts). It could be that the car was used as a test/development car in the trim department and sold on to an employee.
History includes all sales and registration documents, MOT certificates, magazine articles on the car and correspondence between British Leyland and the original owner, the Leyland Princess owners club and previous owners. Also included is a comprehensive folder of photographs detailing the restoration process.
The vehicle was taxed and tested up until March 1993, at this time the vehicle was taken off the road. Spotted in a scrap yard in 1997 it was bought and dry stored until its full bare shell rebuild and restoration in 2015.
The restoration was completed by members of the Leyland Princess Owners Club and featured in a four page article documenting the restoration process and the history of this incredibly interesting British car.
