Lagonda 16-80 (1933)
We understand this car to have been rescued from a scrap yard in the 1950s, bodied at that time with the coachwork that it still carries, which is well constructed, and in excellent condition, as is the rest of the car, which is photographed in the book ‘Lagonda Journey’ published in 2013, where a chapter is dedicated to it. The file of history includes invoices for many thousands of pounds spent in recent times, including engine work, rebuilt carburettors, new tyres, new brake drums, new shock absorbers, new starter motor, and radiator overhaul. Also with the paperwork is a buff logbook from the early 1960s, several tax discs, going back to 1969 and a run of MoT certificates, as well as correspondence between earlier owners and more invoices from earlier times and a couple of relevant Lagonda books. An excellent car, driving well, nicely presented and ready to go.
