"DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!" That was the message Alpina was screaming to the world of motoring enthusiasts when they launched the B10 3.2 back in 1997. The magicians from Buchloe had once again worked their magic on the latest 5-series from their neighbours down the road in Munich. All the bespoke Alpina touches were added and mixed together in a heady cocktail of driver delights. This included tuning of the straight 6 powerplant from the donor 528i, to the beautifully focused direct rack and pinion steering of what was arguably the class leading executive express of choice.
When the car was presented to the worlds' motoring press, the road test and review from Autocar was emphatic.
