Aston Martin DB6 (1967)
First registered in April 1967, the car was originally supplied through HR Owen of Cannock – after a brief visit North, the car made its way to East Anglia.
In May 1981, it was bought by David Riley of Ilford who was a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and, after moving to Suffolk, he undertook restoration of the car repairing the chassis and panels, replaced the inner sills and re-sprayed the car from Bronze to Goodwood Green. Re-carpeting and re-chroming followed in 1991 and a gearbox overhaul in 1994. The work was completed with the rear brakes, carburettors and shock absorbers rebuilt and the car was waxoyled.
In January 1997, the car was bought by Dr Haydon Deane of County Down in Northern Ireland and the car was registered in the Province in April 1998. In 2006, Dr Haydon moved abroad and the car was acquired by the current owner
The Aston Martin DB6 is the ultimate evocation of the Touring designed Aston Martins and current values of the model at last reflect that fact. Offered in a classic colour combination, this is a car with a sound history and one that offers a serviceable classic or the foundation of a restoration project for a new owner.
