1927 was the last year in which Paige cars were constructed. 1928 saw the arrival of Graham-Paige.
Advertised when new as 'The most beautiful car in America' this unusual 'American' produced vintage Paige sedan is nowadays certainly a rarity in the classic car world.
As you can see from the photos 'in action', this sedan is indeed very elegant. This particular model did live a sheltered life and has a very interesting history.
Sold new to a proud owner (see black/white photo) on the island of Mallorca (Spain), the car had there only 2 owners (from 1927 till 1945 and from 1945 till 1965). It is a fact that the warm climate and the limited distances on the island ensured the longlivity of this Paige all these years.
The president of the Belgian Royal Veteran Car Club bought this Paige in 1965 and brought her to Belgium, keeping this sedan just as an exhibit in his collection. In 1973 he agreed to sell the Paige to one of his classic car friends who undertook a complete restoration in 1975/76 and another one after 20 years of regular use in 1995.
This last Belgian owner enjoyed the comfort and reliability of this Paige very much participating at numerous national rallies and many international rallies.
After 35 years of fun this Paige is again on the market and I would be happy to place this vintage car in the hands of the next, hopefully also longterm, owner.
Powered by a strong and rather simple side-valve six in line coupled to a 3 speed gearbox the driving is straightforward and uncomplicated. Equipped with good brakes (4 drums) and light steering this Paige guarantees miles and miles of troublefree fun.
