Volkswagen Mk2 Golf GTi
This Mk2 is in superb corrosion free condition and is finished in metallic Monza Blue. There are no dents or scratches across the body work and the car seems to be totally original. It is an early 3 Door version with Grey GTi Cloth, Twin Headlamp Grill, Red GTi 16v Badges, 14" GTi Alloy Wheels, 4 Button GTi Steering Wheel and Sports Seats and has an Alpine CD/Radio and a Metal Sunroof. The last two owners (for the last 12 years) have dry stored the car and tell us that they have never used it over the winter or even wet weather! It is a truly time-warp example. The 16 Valve 1.8 litre engine in the Mk2 Golf is a belter. This one starts on the button and over that last 500 miles that we have covered in her has not used a drop of oil or water. The gear selection is slick with each cog engaging without reluctance and there is no sign of syncro wear.
Service History:
There is a comprehensive history file with this 3 owner car. First registered 01/08/1987 it has covered just 68,000 miles with three former keepers. The last owner bought it from a good friend who owned it for over ten years and purchased it from the the original owner, who had also had the car for ten years. Purchased new from Specialist Cars VW in Aberdeen it retains it's original number plates, tax disc holder, keys, key rings, handbooks, service books, etched glass and so on. There are masses of invoices and receipts for servicing, parts, the original bill of sale and has all old mot's to back up the 68k miles. More recent work carried out included a new front windscreen as the original had cracked, new front lower suspension bush's. Brake caliper replaced, and the usual servicing items, plugs, oil, fluids etc. It is MOT'd fresh as a daisy and ready to be enjoyed!
