Porsche 911 2.2S

Finished in Metallic Blue with Black Letherette Sports seats This is a 1971 Model Year (UK registered October 1970) Right Hand Drive 2.2 911S which has been extensively rebuilt and uprated over the years. It has spent most of its life being used as a fast road/race car until 1993 when the car failed it's MoT due to corrosion, the degree of which was such that it proved to be beyond simple restoration. As a consequence, the decision was taken to rebuild the car into an excellent, rust free Right Hand Drive late 1980's bodyshell. This project included the retention and fitting of the 2.4 style (narrower) rear wings, plus a non-sunroof roof, as well as all steel early body panels, except for the front bumper spoiler. The car has enjoyed constant maintenance throughout its life but was significantly upgraded when it was prepared for Porsche Club production racing in 1988, when the engine was uprated to 2.4 911S specification at 47213 recorded miles. This was achieved by fully rebuilding the engine and changing the pistons and barrels which gives the extra 200cc swept volume. The work was carried out by marque specialist Camtune who also installed a 2.4 specification 915 5 speed gearbox. The restored car was delivered to marque specialists Autofarm in 1999 for final detail finishing and commissioning. It was back on the road in early 2000 at a recorded mileage of 48870. The bodywork is still in fantastic condition with deep, glossy paintwork, good chrome and correct period badges.
