Porsche 911 Carrera

The Porsche 996 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model manufactured with first model year 1998 and last 2004. It came in both two and four wheel drive format, in either coupe or cabriolet and with choice of a manual or Tiptronic gearbox. The engine is a flat six 3.6 dry sump unit capable of propelling the car from 0-62 mph in a little under 5 seconds with a purported top speed of 178mph.

The example here is in arguably the best colour combination of black with black leather and was prepared for the Porsche stand at the 2001 London Motor Show. It is the four wheel drive six speed manual version mated to the 3.6 315 BHP engine and as the included history confirms has clearly been meticulously maintained as there are no less that 16 service stamps with the last service having been carried out in September of this year.
