Austin-Healey Sprite Mk I (Frogeye)

Vehicle Price: GBP 22,995
Advert Reference Number: 13822

The Austin-Healey Sprite is a small open sports car which was produced in the United Kingdom from 1958 to 1971. The Sprite quickly became affectionately known as the "frogeye" in the UK and the "bugeye" in the US, because its headlights were prominently mounted on top of the bonnet, inboard of the front wings.
According to the Heritage Certificate (supplied with car) our Mark 1 'Frogeye' was built 01/01/1960 and first registered on 07/07/1959 and according to the registration document has had 3 owners since. The supplying Dealer was Henleys Limited of Bristol and factory fitted equipment included a rev counter, front bumpers and toughened glass windscreen and the cars was finished in Old English White as it is today. Photos detail a full bare metal respray/rebuild where the car was stripped back to its bare components and fully restored. Now looking splendid in its original Old English White with contrasting red interior and red tonneau, the car is ready for a new keeper to enjoy....
