First registered in May 1970 and exported to the State of Florida where it was owned by one keeper until it was repatriated back to this country in 1995.
It was purchased by my husband's father and restored including a bare metal colour change, converted to right hand drive restored interior including high back leather seats, wooden dash and steering wheel, carpets, hood etc. With the vehicle coming from the sun shine state there has never been any need for welding due to corrosion. Likewise, mechanically the vehicle is original apart from routine and regular servicing and repairs.
The recorded mileage at the last Mot in May 2017 was 64,534 and the car passed with no advisories. The tyres are in excellent condition and a new stainless steel exhaust system has been fitted in the past. I have driven the car and there was no evidence of adverse noises or smoking, the synchromesh is excellent through all gears and no undue axle whine was evident, a real pleasure to drive and what an exhaust note.
This is a carburettor model with no overdrive fitted, however, performance is excellent and handling is superb. There is a luggage rack included in the price which has never been used and the original steering wheel is available but in a deteriorated condition for the purists.
