Jaguar E-type

Vehicle Price: GBP 64,995
Advert Reference Number: 12159

The best looking and most desirable of all the E-Type variants is the Series 1 as we have here. This later version of the Series I is fitted with the larger, torquier, 265bhp 4.2 litre engine with triple 2" SU carbs, all synchro gearbox, more comfortable seats and no unreliability issues as some of the earlier 3.8 cars had. It of course retains the cowelled headlamps and therefore in my humble opinion is the best model to own.

As an accompanying Jaguar heritage sheet confirms, this particular UK market car was supplied new by the Kochey dealership in September 1965 and has always been red with a black interior. The previous keeper has owned the car for the last 12 years and it has only had three former keepers according to the V5C. Always well maintained, the car comes with a large history file going back some 30 years including virtually all old MOT certificates to back to 1982 at which point it had covered some 51,300 miles, a total which has now risen to some 70,200 miles. Bills on file show that the crank was reground in 1985 at about 54,000 miles and the gearbox was rebuilt in 1999 at 67,000 miles. A new steering rack was fitted in 2002 and a stainless steel exhaust in 2005. We have now professionally polished the vehicle and are proud to offer a superb example of this appreciating classic.
