INTERIOR
Sportiness is the dominant theme inside the SL55 AMG with the Alcantara trimmed AMG instrument cluster and windscreen frame and the AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel with shift paddles. The expensive factory optional Berry Nappa Leather, (Code 587), is exclusive to the SL55 AMG and compliments the exterior Obsidian Black Metallic perfectly. Ergonomics and comfort have naturally taken prominent consideration with technological wonderment infused throughout, including the dynamic multi-contour seats in perfect condition with heating, optional comfort ventilation and integral air cushions with massage function. The COMAND cockpit management and navigation display is hugely advanced even today and further premium specification attributes include a TV tuner and Bose sound system. The red stitched leather fascia and Aluminium AMG trim sections are as new. Luxury, opulence and exhilaration in abundance.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
A true engineering and technological marvel is the AMG 5.5-litre V8 supercharged Kompressor engine developing a ferocious 500hp and 700Nm of torque, as quoted in the original Mercedes-Benz UK marketing literature. Expect 0-62mph in a phenomenal 4.7 seconds and an electronically governed top speed of 155mph! The technical specification is simply mind-blowing and raising the bonnet reveals a work of art V8 powerplant which is spotlessly clean, exactly as intended and complete with all factory plates and stickers intact. The sound emitted from the AMG two twin tailpipes is guaranteed to set the pulse racing! The standard five speed automatic transmission with shift paddles features AMG Speedshift to increase the shift speed by up to 35% in automatic mode. An unmedicated source of pure adrenalin!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Exclusive to the SL55 are 18 AMG 22 spoke alloys wheels in high-polish finish which remain in near perfect condition with no outer rim damage whatsoever. Premium brand matching Pirelli PZero Rosso tyres of size 255/40 R18 and 285/35 R18 front and rear respectively have masses of tread remaining. The high-performance braking system feature massive composite discs which have a diameter of 390mm at the front and 360mm at the rear. The huge ornate callipers clearly visible through the spoke openings remain in the correct silver with AMG inscription.

HISTORY FILE
With introduction of the V8 SL55 AMG, Mercedes had a ground-breaking machine that gained immediate attention from the motoring world. Registered new by Mercedes-Benz Chesterfield on 29th September 2003, this example has covered just 26,517 miles from new with only three keepers, the last long-term Mercedes-Benz Club member owner since August 2001. With full Mercedes-Benz main dealer service history, there are eight stamped entries, all Mercedes main dealer and in accordance with stipulated service guidelines, with the most recent B service carried out by Mercedes-Benz of Canterbury in June 2018 with just 60 miles covered since! Both the dealer supplied leather document wallets are beautifully presented and hold all handbooks, guides and point of sale literature. A further large history folder holds supporting Mercedes service invoices as well as two sets of original remote keys. Completing the history file is a hardback sales brochure and every MOT certificate carried out since the first in 2006.
