Jaguar XJ (1987)
Launched in 1968, the XJ6 was an instant success. It was the last Jaguar design to have been influenced by the comapany's founder William Lyons. Over the following years there were several tweeks to the design. But in 1986, the model was re-launched as the XJ40 with a new engine range and other improvements. Fuel consumption for this model at 56MPH is quoted as a remarkable 36.2 MPG! (official figure).
This example was registered in August 1987 and is finished in Old English White with contrasting luxury cream leather and is in beautiful condition. Fitted with 3.6 litre 6 cylinder engine producing 221 BHP. 4 speed automatic gearbox. Iindependent suspension all round gives this car superb ride and handling qualities. On board trip computer, electrically adjustable seats, 16" alloys, twin headlamps, alarm, stereo, central locking, electric windows, power steering, some service history and has just been serviced.
